This Privacy Policy explains how Tracker Tech Pty Ltd (ABN 19 694 000 961, ACN 694 000 961) ("Tracker Tech", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Grocery Tracker mobile app and any related websites or services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address and any authentication details needed to sign you in and keep your account secure.
  • Shopping and price data. Information you create or interact with in the app, such as products you track, shopping lists, price alerts, favourites, and notes you add.
  • Device and usage information. Technical information from the device you use to access the app, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language and region settings, approximate performance and crash diagnostics, and general usage patterns (for example, which screens are opened) that help us understand how the app is used and fix problems.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal information (such as health, financial account, or biometric data) through the Service.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including syncing your data across your devices;
  • show you price and product information, and send price alerts and notifications you have opted into;

  • understand how the app is used so we can improve features and the overall experience; and

We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Service, such as cloud hosting and database infrastructure providers, solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service on our behalf. We use reputable cloud infrastructure providers to store and process data, and we take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, or request deletion by contacting us, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it for longer to comply with a legal obligation, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most account information directly in the app. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at help@trackit.today and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at help@trackit.today so we can take appropriate action.

9. International data transfers

The service providers we use to operate the Service may store or process information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected in line with this Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as an in-app notice or an updated "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
